NIVS Bitterbal division

NIVS (Nederlands Institute voor Vlees Snacks),
is a fictive Dutch organisation which is the guardian of fried-meat snacks. One of there divisions the Bitterbal division to be exact, build a small factory in the ‘Krabbedans’ gallery to promote there archetypal meat product, the bitterbal. Which in English is also revered to ‘Snotty Balls’ .This factory is self containing. The electrical-power is made by burning the waist frying-oil in a power generating which powers the frying pans. The plant stops only when visitor stop eating balls.

For The Love Of God

A installation which is a combination of a confession box and a arcade game. The confessor can control a mechanical pope which trows choirboy into a hell pit. By putting a coin into the machine, a piston places a choirboy out of the choirboy dispenser. The choirboy is put on a shinny turning oriole. The pope is pulled up and at the right time released by a button. Which knocks the boys into a blazing hell-pit.

Flying travel case.

Mechanical flying travel case made for primary-school students. These travelkit are made to encourage creativity within schools. There are loaned out by a Dutch Art foundation Kunstbalie during the school year.

The flying case can be opened. Inside there are two wings which are driven by a mechanical mechanism. A handle the back reveals the magic when turned.



Daf Cassette Organ

Made for the STRP Biennale 2015 ,this reassembled Daf turned into a organ which plays old cassettes. Visitor can choose any cassette the like ,hidden in the grill of the car. The cassettes are injected in the car-cassette deck at the front of the car. The turning handle of the organ is connected to the Daf-variomatic gearbox which drives the cassette player motor. Visitors are encouraged to turn as fast as the can. The faster you turn ,the faster the music plays and more and more light turn on.
